Cultural learning, sports, youth leadership and life-skills training that build confidence, values and a sense of belonging.
Narail is the land of Sultan and of a living tradition of music, art and sport. Setu Bondhon Foundation believes that human development is not complete without this side of life. Our cultural and human development programme gives young people a stage, a team and a mentor — and through them, the confidence to take part in society.
What we do
- Cultural schools for music, recitation, art and folk performance, taught by local artists.
- Observance of national days — Independence Day, Victory Day, International Mother Language Day and Bangla Nababarsha — with children from every community.
- Sports and youth clubs: football, cricket, athletics and indoor games, with equipment support for village teams.
- Life-skills and leadership training covering communication, teamwork, financial literacy and civic responsibility.
- Awareness campaigns against child marriage, drug abuse, bullying and violence.
- Support to persons with disabilities so that they can take part in cultural and sporting life on equal terms.
How we work
We work through school clubs, union-level youth groups and local cultural organisations rather than creating parallel structures. The Foundation provides training, equipment, a small budget and a calendar of events; the young people themselves run the activities.
Why it matters
A young person who has stood on a stage, captained a team or organised an event carries that confidence into a classroom, an interview and a community meeting. This is the quiet foundation of every other programme we run.
Our goal
To nurture a generation that is skilled, self-confident, socially responsible and proud of the cultural heritage of Narail and Bangladesh.
